Vertebral Body Tethering

About

Vertebral Body Tethering (VBT)
We pioneered this method worldwide in 2014, and have treated over 100 curvatures since then.

Vertebral Body Tethering (VBT) in Scoliosis Surgery

  • Applied to scoliosis patients who do not respond to conservative treatment.
  • It is performed without fusion, preserving motion and not hindering growth.
  • It is minimally invasive, performed using a closed surgical method.

This surgical method is implemented in our unit by a team consisting of spine surgeons, thoracic surgeons, and vascular surgeons. We have achieved successful results in the short and medium term, particularly favoring this method for children with growth potential. It can also be applied in special cases for adolescent or adult patients who have completed their growth.
